Ilion Water System Improvements
Starting in the fall of 2019, is the construction of 8,400 linear feet of 16″ ductile iron water main and 3,600 linear feet of 18″ HDPE water main through the Villages residential streets. In a lesser seen area of Ilion the crew will also be working to restore and repair the original water works filter beds from the early 1900’s. This is a hugely anticipated project for the Village as they seek a long term solution to Ilion’s water problems.
Hackett Boulevard Water Main Replacement
A project that consisted of the installation of 16″ DIP water main on Hackett Boulevard, 8″ DIP water main on Crown Terrace, reconnecting existing water services to the new mains and site restoration. The crew worked day and night to get the project completed on time and with a little inconvenience to the residents, business owners and commuters as possible.

In addition to the major site work contract for the Delaet’s Landing Apartment project, was emergency change order work to relocate the 32,000 lb pressure relief valve vault. The work that was to raise the water pressure to the apartments was completed within 3 days and overcame several obstacles. The team worked late into the evening, through rain and freezing temperatures to get the job completed.
Halfmoon Water District No 1 Replacement
Peter Luizzi & Bros worked closely with Engineer CHA Consulting, Inc on the replacement of approximately 10,000 linear feet of existing water main with 8” & 12” DIP water main including hydrants, valves, water services, fittings, associated appurtenances and related site work. Additionally, there were (2) below grade pressure reducing valve vaults. Along with working in the front yards of many town residents, the team also performed a bore underneath the active railroad tracks with the assistance of CP Rail.
Lincoln Avenue Development
The Lincoln Avenue Development required valve installation to the existing 12″ watermain system. Crews performed the work at night to minimize inconvenience to the surrounding residents and business owners. The work was completed in one evening.
Campbell Ave Pipe Replacement
This project requires the replacement of existing 24” Clay Tile gravity sewer with 252’ of 24” PVC Sanitary Sewer Main, followed by back filling the trenched areas. The area is finalized by pavement restoration. All scopes of work are easy completed and coordinated by Peter Luizzi & Bros’ team of skilled operators and laborers.
Sanitary Sewer Collection System Improvements
The project consists of more than 2,300 LF of 16” forcemain and 2,300 LF of 24” gravity sewer running in multiple locations of the Villages streets. Most notably through the narrow portion of Main Street where the residents, businesses and construction workers have shared the roadway.
South Troy Industrial Road
The extension of East industrial Parkway includes more than just paving a new road with sidewalks. Crews will also excavate and prep 1,600 feet of vacant land for the new roadway, dispose of 4,000 tons of contaminated soils and install 16″ water line including catch basins and light pole bases.
