Construction begins on 146 Marketplace in Halfmoon

Scaffolds & Cranes: Construction begins on $166 million mixed-use Halfmoon development

HALFMOON — Construction is underway on a new mixed-use development near the intersection of Route 146 and Old Route 146 in Halfmoon.

Developer Luizzi Companies broke ground on the project just over a month ago, said Christian Luizzi, who works in the company’s real estate division. It will be “a live, dine, eat, play” development called 146 Marketplace and will feature 10 buildings consisting of residential, retail and commercial space, Luizzi said.

“This project has taken many, many years to get to where it is,” Luizzi said. “Luizzi is really confident that this is something extremely unique to this area, and it’s going to be a first of its kind.”

Luizzi Companies announced Healthy Living Market & Café will be the site’s anchor tenant. The grocery store, which has locations in Wilton and Vermont, offers a curated selection of organic, eco-grown and non-GMO products and will occupy a 25,000-square-foot building at 146 Marketplace.
